Alexander V. Tuzikov Alexander V. Tuzikov is a Head of Mathematical Cybernetics Department of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Belarus State Prize Laureate (2002), Belarus representative in IAPR (International Association of Pattern Recognition, http://www.iapr.org/). Alexander Tuzikov graduated from the Belarus State University (Minsk, 1980), received the candidate of physics-mathematical sciences degree of Institute of Mathematics (1985) and doctor of physics-mathematical sciences degree of the Institute of Engineering Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2000), Professor (2005), Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2014). He was a General Director of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus from 2009 to January 2022. His research subjects include bioinformatics, computational biology, image processing and analysis, medical imaging, mathematical morphology, remote sensing, discrete applied mathematics. He is an author of more than 400 publications in these fields.
